Traveller Comments:
"We had a very delicious dinner - lovely fish and a vegetarian curry. Thanks"
Ms. christine n. - New Zealand on 21/08/2010
"This accommodation is very basic and is over priced for what is a very run down establishment. Frankly were it not the middle of the night, I would have looked for better accommodation."
Mr. William G. - New Zealand on 20/08/2010
"Location was great in that the beach was over the road and we were able to watch a beautiful sunset on our last night there. The room was okay, a bit old but it's possible that thats was you get in Samoa unless you stay at a resort. The kitchen could have done with a washcloth and dishwashing liquid. Shower was really good. They organised our transfer to the airport well (0430hrs). I thought it was quite expensive but we wanted to be close to the airport."
Ms. Mary P. - New Zealand on 29/09/2009
"Lovely to have a swimming pool to cool off in after travelling from Savaii.
The fale was lovely to finish our stay in Samoa, with our own bathroom facilities, after sharing bathroom facilities at the beach fales in Upolu and Savaii. Again, everything was clean and tidy.
The dinner setting was striking under an open fale with mozzie burner. A lovely finish to our stay in Samoa."
Mrs. Debbie W. - New Zealand on 17/09/2009
"Have already commented as we stayed here twice in a week, both times very enjoyable."
Mr. Brian Q. - New Zealand on 28/08/2009
"My clients were very well looked after in every way. They appreciated the extra care they received."
Mr. Ronald P. - New Zealand on 27/08/2009
"Good stay and good service at Airport Lodge!"
Mr. Fabrizio S. - Italy on 24/08/2009
"need to be careful about providing value for money-"
Mr. Denis B. - New Zealand on 07/08/2009
"Accommodation was fine. The only failing was that we were not picked up at the airport on arrival, as requested on our booking form. Transport to the wharf the next morning was provided."
Ms. Lynn M. - New Zealand on 03/08/2009
"A little out of the way & lacking in services, but very pleasant really. We thought the accommodation excellent."
Mr. john m. - New Zealand on 31/07/2009
"Basic but OK"
Mr. Anthony L. - New Zealand on 20/07/2009
"This is a good transit accommodation reasonably close to the ferry terminal and airport. The reception is attended 24 hrs so they can assist travellers with shuttles etc at any time. However,I would not stay there for any extended period. It is not a holiday destination in itself. Our room was fine (especially compared with more basic accomodation we had used during our holiday). The meals were also OK - nothing fancy, but wholesome home-cooking style and very generous portions."
Mr. Marshall C. - New Zealand on 20/07/2009
"This Lodge was a fine place to start our vacation in Samoa.
As a 1 nighter it fulfilled all our requirements. It was good that the reception was open 24 hours a day/night."
Mrs. Lindsay F. - New Zealand on 18/07/2009
"Convenient to get to the airport and we had a good trip from there to Manono Island for the day"
Mrs. Jennifer W. - New Zealand on 04/07/2009
"initial check in fine. next day were asked why we were in a room with air con - said that is where we were put..We were made to feel that it was our fault we were in the wrong room.
Dinner ok but breakfast interesting in that the lady who served us kept muttering quite loudly when her back was turned. Was it something we had done??. Rooms pretty 'tired'. Beach unattractive - felt misled by web site.
Would not stay again."
Mr. Graham G. - New Zealand on 03/07/2009
"management needs to comunicate better with guests perhaps a book in the units explaining meals local attractions/activities and property facilities however overall we did enjoy the stay and the meals were great once we worked out how to get them"
Mr. terry s. - New Zealand on 27/06/2009
"Good location for staying overnight if your plane gets in late. A bit noisy, but nice comfortable bungalows. Breakfast is not included unlike most other accomodations and price of transfers was a bit unreasonable."
Ms. natalie m. - Australia on 24/06/2009
"ok"
Mr. Tomas S. - Czech Republic on 03/06/2009
"Wonderful welcome and very cheerful and helpful staff and management. Recommend it. Also the people we met in the local village were great."
Mr. David S. - United Kingdom on 20/05/2009
"Airport Lodge is a beautiful property with very well kept gardens and lovely staff. We stayed in a 2 room fale, both had a airconditioner in them, very clean, good size fridge for the family and tea and coffee facilities. The staff are lovely, we even had the night manager Tino rush up to move our washing when rain started through the night. The girls in the kitchen show great pride, their meals were delicious, you can see they care. We had a wonderful stay at Airport Lodge and would have stayed longer if we knew what it would have been like."
Ms. Cheryl H. - Australia on 09/04/2009
"Lovely clean/simple rooms. The charges for taxis from the hotel were largely inflated, which was annoying. It is cheaper to flag down a taxi from the roadside (e.g. $15 from the Ferry instead of $36!)"
Ms. Christine T. - New Zealand on 12/02/2009
"this place was lovely and the food excellent !"
Mr. Simon H. - United Kingdom on 04/11/2008
"Bungalows are nice, comfortable and well appointed. The meals are very nice, but huge, and quite expensive compared to elsewhere on Upolo - a smaller, cheaper option would be nice. A good place to stay if you have your own transport. "
Mr. Alan A. on 03/10/2008
"The accommodation was very clean but is aging and in need of an update. "
Mr. David W. - Australia on 20/09/2008
"Quite expensive for facilities provided."
Mr. Gregory S. - New Zealand on 04/08/2008
"Given we arrived so late, the welcome could not have been more pleasing!
Our transfer from the airport was quick and professional!
A beautiful garden-setting, and great breakfast!
Belinda and Guy"
Mr. Belinda K. - Australia on 28/06/2008
"Even though I requested transport from the airport nobody showed up to pick me up. I had to catch a ride with Aggie Grey's bus driver who took it upon himself to take me to Airport Lodge, even though it is further away than Aggie Grey's.
Other than that, the place is clean and functions well for what it is... fale style budget accommodation close to the airport which saves time and money if you are traveling through Samoa."
Mr. Scott S. - United States on 27/06/2008
"We were only at the Airport Lodge for a short time but again food & service was good. So convenient to the airport. We left at a very ealy time, the Lodge arranged all trave transporto airport at that very unusual time."
Mr. Terry C. - Australia on 25/05/2008
"Airport Lodge is good and inexpensive to stay at for good access to the airport. They provide transport to and from the airport (at a small cost) and the transport turned up as expected even at 4.30 in the morning. However, one night I went into Apia. It was a long way and coming back the taxi driver did not seem sure where Airport Lodge was and the car overheated a number of times, requiring the driver to fill the radiator. The area Airport Lodge is in is quite isolated and I was unnerved by the taxi experience, as it happened about 11pm. "
