Traveller Comments:
"This place was paradise, set high up on the mountain above Apia with amazing views. Very helpful, friendly staff. Good selection of wines, beer. It's quite far from Apia, so arrive with a good supply of snacks, etc. It's a 30 tala taxi ride into town or Dave himself will run you into Apia on his way to his shop in the morning. Good, simple western food. Lots of flying foxes to watch. Wish we were still there!"
Mr. Christopher B. - New Zealand on 09/10/2009
"very good"
Mr. Grant H. - New Zealand on 23/08/2009
"The lodge was set on a mountain top so we had impressive views of Apia. The place it self was comfortable enough for the price we paid (a bargain at $96 tala). However, its downfall was the cleanliness. The shower drain was blocked with hair and gunk and when we asked a staff member to take a look at it, she tried removing it with her bare hands and when that didn't work, she used a kitchen knife. Needless to say, we did not eat there. The fridge had mould on the inside and omitted a strange odour, and the sugar bowl was crawling with ants - the sugar itself was crusted and looked to be 100 years old. Also, there were several dogs on the property that were not restrained and would often startle you with their barking and gnarling! Having been bitten by a dog before, it made me quite uncomfortable to venture beyond our room. It also needs to be well signposted. We almost turned back on our way there as we been driving for miles and hadn't seen another sign assuring us we were going the right way."
Ms. Diana E. - New Zealand on 20/04/2009
"The view was very impressive. The room was clean and comfortable but without any type of TV. The only concern is the roadway to the hotel is very rural and steep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to unwind and relax. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will return."
Mr. Roal Davis J. - United States on 16/09/2008
"Awesome veiw, really peaceful, great place to recharge the batteries, lovely food ,& the higlight of our stay in Samoa

Bob & Robin Jones , Christchurch NZ"
Mr. Bob J. - New Zealand on 24/08/2008
"Nice location, however take a car or a taxi from the airport as the bus drops off on the corner and is a farily long walk up a steep hill. Good facilities and clean, however the bed was REALLY hard as it was in a hard plastic surround???"
Ms. Fiona H. - New Zealand on 15/08/2008
"When we arrived we were shown rooms but not allowed to bar or lounger area. Had no indication if a meal was available so left and went to town for a meal.

Rooms very tired and musty smelling - showers still dirty.

Main Host, David Parker was far more hospitalble later that night and in the morning. "
Mr. Jeff B. - New Zealand on 10/08/2008
"Arriving at 0300hr we were greeted very warmly found all the staff friendly courteous and very accommodating to all our needs."
Ms. Kerry W. - Australia on 18/08/2007
"The views from the hotel were amazing. The staff was wonderful. It's difficult to find and the web site does not give good directions, but once you get there, it's well worth it."
Mr. Stuart A. - United States on 07/06/2007
"Wonderful location, high up above Apia."
Ms. Leanne P. - Australia on 22/05/2007
"If you're looking to escape from the city for a few days, this is the place to be. Amazing views & great food."
