I asked for a double room with a fan. I didn't know that it meant budget quality. The budget section of this hotel is very old and no maintenance has been done for years. The shower, toilet and passageway floors are cleaned daily but that was the only cleaning done. the bath mat was not changed in the 4 days we were there. The sheets too were not changed in the 4 days we were there also and in the hot climate sheets need to be changed more often. the floor covering was in bad repair, cellotaped together in places and very old. The walls are paper thin and everything can be heard from adjacent rooms. Guests in the room beside ours had visitors who were very loud and did not leave till 11.30pm only after we had to ask them to be quiet which they were not pleased about. Doors squeaked when opened adding to the noise problem. I asked the cleaning lady to oil them. It was a depressing place. I would not recommend this budget accommodation unless it was explained how old everything is. The staff were friendly and pleasant. and the swimming pool was frequently used by us.

Came back around1.45, but room was not ready - were told housekeeping was still cleaning it. We were not given access to our room until around 2.15 so we had to sit and wait in the lobby.
Reception had no record of the deposit paid via the website, luckily I had the printout to prove it (which they asked to keep).
The state of repair of the budget hotel was very poor - but I guess you really do get what you pay for.
