Claus hails from Copenhagen in Denmark. He came to Samoa in 1994 and opened The Samoan Outrigger Hotel in December 1994. They have been providing clean and affordable accommodation since then.
Quoting Claus and Laena: "The Outrigger has grown to be a favorite for many visitors to Samoa. We expanded the business in 2001 and also provide a rental car service for our guests".
