Taufua Beach Fales, South Coast, Upolu Island


The new style fales have taken on board the fact that guests do not necessarily want to be in the sun the whole day, but rather enjoy the view from the comfort of their balcony.

The fales are cosy and very tidy, with the interior lined with traditionally woven mats. All linen, bedding and mosquito nets are provided.

The rates charged are dependant on which style fale is being used and is on a per person basis. Breakfast and Dinner are included in the rates

  • Open Fale - Absolute Beachfront

Open Fales located beachfront, come with a mattress on the floor and  are ideal for those guests who wish to experience the true Samoan way of life. The only privacy accorded is by dropping the hand-woven blinds. Bedding and linen are supplied. The rates are on a per person basis and include accommodation, breakfast and dinner. Rate for renting a complete Fale to yourself is SAT $120.00 or if two people SAT90/person and for three to four people/SAT70 each.

The Enclosed Fales come with balconies and allow for more privacy and security. Also on offer, is a Mattress on bed. The Fales can accommodate up to three people at a time. All linen, bedding and mosquito nets are supplied. Facilities are shared. Bedding is configured to meet guest requirements.

Should you wish to have the whole Fale to yourself rate is SAT $140 for a single person. Up to 2 pax SAT110/person or 3 upwards is SAT90/person. Third person may have the mattress on the floor.

The closed fales are located on the beach, tho not absolutely beachfront. On offer is your mattress on the floor with mossie net and rate is inclusive of Breakfast and Dinner. The fales portray how Samoans use to live and continue to live in many of the rural locations. Experience your own piece of Samoan culture.

Should you wish to rent the whole fale for yourself: SAT120.00/single occupancy. For 2 people: SAT90.00/person or for a group of 3-4 pax: SAT70.00 [maximum 4 pax in these fales]
