Mr. Nigel Burr is a retired Commercial Banker. After retirement in 1996 he and his wife went into the Accommodation business, as he says, "to keep busy and just to do something different". He continues to operate the business to this day. His wife Tommy Burr has since passed away.

"Nigel - the proprietor - bent over backwards to make us welcome and even let us stay for most of the day on checkout day to ensure we could enjoy our holiday to the last minute. Like most places in Samoa, the cottages are simple and no frills but are functional."

"had the most amazing time in samoa, cant wait to return, vaiala beach cottages suited us fine as we liked being self contained, the owner nigel was charming as were the staff, nothing would have been to much trouble, if you are looking for luxury you are going to the wrong island but its uniqueness is what makes it special. talofa EILEEN @ BARRY FOLEY"
