This place has the best beach on island..we stayed in a bungalow with ac, fixtures and everything pretty old inside and the hotel could use a facelift but the food and the beach make up for any lacking in that area.

Great having tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge in the room.

Checking in at the Vaisala Hotel was ok and the beachfront location was breathtaking but the compliments stop there. There was no hot water but given that we were on Savaii this was acceptable - what was unacceptable was the fact that the water was turned off for most of the day to prevent the locals from using the the rinse off tap after swimming at the beach and so as the toilets were unflushable they filled up with toilet paper and other unmentionables. We were then lied to and told different stories by different staff members in regards to about this. In my friends room someones beard hair was visible on the bathroom wall and there was a dead cochroach on the floor - the cockroach and hair were still there even after the room was cleaned again the next day. The staff at the restaurant had very limited english and couldnt understand my dietary requirements (Vegetarian). Even ordering items straight from the menu still resulted in mistakes. Communication was by far the properties biggest downfall as it was next to immpossible to feel understood by any of the staff. As I have previously worked in hotels and know what standard of customer service one should expect when on holidays and paying for a service I would strongly suggest a customer service course for all staff.

Felt the meals were a little on the expensive side (especially compared to what we paid at other accommodation) which is why we have gone for happy in overall impression/value. That said, we would/will go back here as it has got to be Samoa's best kept secret, and the beach is fantastic.

Overall a good experience. Evening meals a bit expensive for what they were, and the dining area could be improved by making it easier to meet with other guests, rather than be PLACED at a table just for you. A beautiful setting for the hotel, and staff friendly

We had booked the Honeymoon fale. On arrival this was not available as a couple had decided to stay another few days and had been allowed to remain in the fale we had booked. After travelling for 5+ hours this was disappoiinting and although we were given a room to rest in it took a further 3+ hours to finally be told they were not going to move. Compensation was given but after a day of travelling and waiting that was poor service.

This place is PARADISE. I sure hope not too many people discover it, and ruin its beauty.
It has great snorkelling right outside your door. The restaurant and staff are all excellent.
Restaurant are happy to make food to requirement, if asked.
we will definitely be back to Samoa, and will make this our number 1 place to stay at.
We couldn't ask for a more perfect place to stay.
