Taufua Beach Fales was completely destroyed by the Sept 2009 Tsunami. It is anticipated that the beach fale operation will be rebuilt with day fales on the beach side and permanent accommodation inland. Maninoa Beach Surf is nestled in between two of Samoa's premiere resorts: The Coconuts Beach Club and Sinalei Reef Resort & Spa. The fales front onto the white sandy beach and offers a taste of Samoa in pristine surroundings.

Maninoa Beach Surf was destroyed in the Sept 2009 tsunami. Whilst the beachside operations are being rebuilt, accommodation is offered from the two storey Maninoa Beach Hotel located a hundred metres from the beach. Rooms include private ensuites. A March 2010 reopening for the original site is anticipated at this stage.
